Walt Mills is a columnist for the Centre Daily Times in State College, Pa. His weekly column is reprinted on Saturdays in the online daily newsletter, Recipe du Jour. He makes his living as an English instructor and freelance writer/editor. He and his wife and their two daughters live in Penns Valley, a peaceful farming district a short drive from Penn State University.
