Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966)
Parrish, whose real first name was Frederick was extremely popular. He took the name Maxfield from his grandmother. His use of color is and was innovative. The blues of his paintings from mixtures of various mediums was so unique that the phrase 'Parrish Blue' was coined. Below is 'TWILIGHT', which illustrates the blue.
My favorite because of it's fey subject matter. It also incorporates his use of asexual women in his paintings.
