THE FIFTIES
I love this site. It will bring back memories or will teach you things you didn't know. It is crammed with social history. If only school was this much fun.

The fifties were a time of more changes in my life than any other. In those ten years, I finished growing up (debatable even to this day), entered the service, married, went overseas, and was discharged, with a year to spare. Looking at this decade is like opening my photo album. That could be my wife in those rolled up jeans. It was known as the decade of content, but big things were happening just under public awareness and would soon boil over into the wild sixties. But enjoy. This is America's last decade of innocence.
I wish to thank again, Peggy Whitley for permission to link. I also want to thank Becky Bradley who wrote and maintains this wonderful site.
